Today, the feast day of St. Nicholas, a large tree of lights was installed in Sophia Square, the center of Kyiv. It is a large tree of 15 meters tall, 3 meters taller than last year's 12-meter tree.
This tree, which is a pure white silver tree with blue lights, was built to symbolize a pure white, bright and clean beginning, as well as the future that the new year will bring. Next to the tree, a 'Phoenix Wings' photo zone was installed. New Year, future, resurrection. It can be said that it is a meaning that truly contains the wishes of the Ukrainian people.
Despite the very cold winter weather with steam coming out, many Kyiv citizens of all ages came out to the square to see the new tree. Families, lovers, friends, and many smiles and laughter could be seen and heard in front of this tree today.
